Interpersonal Psychiatry is a group of caring and experienced medical and clinical mental health providers.
Psychiatric Medication Management
Psychiatric treatment is rarely a quick fix. While medication can significantly reduce symptoms and help you regain stability, the best outcomes typically come from combining medication management with ongoing therapy and education. This comprehensive approach supports long-term balance, symptom control, and personal growth. Our experienced providers treat conditions such as Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Addiction, Bipolar Disorder, and Weight Management, offering integrated care that supports your overall well-being.
Psychotherapy & Individual Counseling
In sessions, they may use EMDR, Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness, the Gottman approach, Solution-Focused therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other modalities. The offer individual, family, couples, and group therapy services.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for Addiction and Opioid Addiction (Suboxone)
Our addiction treatment options are evidence-based, flexible, and tailored to each patient’s needs. Group or individual therapy may be recommended in the treatment plan to support a more effective treatment process. Our focus is to support you in restoring a high-quality, functioning level, addressing occupational, social, and personal relationships.
Testing Services
Our goal is to help people accurately diagnose what they experience, identify the causes of these issues, and find the most effective treatments available.
Conners Testing for ADHD
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common childhood disorders and can continue through adolescence and adulthood. The symptoms of this disorder include difficulty staying focused and paying attention, difficulty controlling behavior, and hyperactivity (overactivity).
ADHD symptoms can appear as early as the ages of 3 to 6 and can continue throughout adolescence and adulthood. The symptoms of ADHD can be mistaken for emotional or disciplinary problems and have the potential to be overlooked entirely in quiet, well-behaved children, thus leading to a delay in diagnosis. Adults with undiagnosed ADHD may have a history of poor academic performance, problems at work, or difficulty maintaining relationships.
To obtain feedback on whether the patient would benefit from ADHD-based treatment, a series of computerized tests is often recommended. With these computerized tests, more commonly known as Conners tests, patients are presented with repetitive, mundane tasks and must maintain their focus over time to respond to targets or inhibit responses to deterrents. After completion, the results are compared with normative scores for correct detection, reaction time, and omission/commission errors. The eventual results will allow proper diagnosis and indicate whether medicinal regimens would be advisably incorporated into cognitive-behavioral treatment.
Genetic Testing
If you’re suffering from mental health challenges, the last thing anyone wants to go through is a lengthy trial-and-error process with multiple medications. The process can be frustrating and leave people feeling worse, not better. Interpersonal Psychiatry offers GeneSight’s genetic testing, which provides answers that quickly lead to relief. Pharmacogenomic testing, or PGx testing, can help empower your doctor with the exact information needed to prescribe you the best medication for you. By examining your DNA, this simple, painless test lets our providers know which medications may not work for you, so you can get back to feeling like yourself again. That’s the power and simplicity of the GeneSight test. Many insurance companies will reimburse for this test.
