Anissa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of practicing with patients of all ages. She is a previous owner of a halfway addiction house, has managed medical practices, supervised in various non-profits and has worked with foster care, ran a private practice in South Florida, as well as worked with a diverse clientele.
The main focus of her work at Interpersonal Psychiatry is leading the company in providing exceptional services in mental health care for the communities served. This means collaborating with other providers in the community, listening to each patients needs with kindness and compassion, having a workplace that is healthy so staff can provide the most optimal, safe and secure environment possible as well as supportive everyones growth and well being! She believes it is an honor to serve patients, clients and staff to help them achieve a better quality of life for each individual and the world at large.
Anissa is trained in a number of different types of therapy such as Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR/Brainspotting, Hypnotherapy, and Contemplative Practice Therapy (Mindfulness, Japanese Psychology). Anissa also specializes in supporting individuals and families struggling with benzodiaziline harm, tolerence, taper and healing.
Anissa sees clients in our Lawrence office in a very limited capacity providing individual and group therapy services. Primary focus is leadership in the practice and making way for healthier individual, community and world.
